I stepped into the elevator
Pushed the Up button and the doors closed
But it descended slowly into darkness
As the doors slowly opened
My demons were waiting
“We’ve missed you”, they moaned
I sighed and again pushed the Up button
The doors closed and I smiled
Saying to myself, “Not tonight
Not tonight”

Good when you have the strength to say no. I enjoyed that in this piece, Walt. 🙂

The elevator music didn’t happen to be “Sweet dreams are made of this” Walt as you made that upward climb.
