She Colors My World – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

She colors my world
Without even trying
She makes me feel
Like I matter
There is a stillness in her
That draws me in
Opening my mind
To the endless possibilities
That are hidden inside my heart
As those words are put to paper
She smiles once again
And I understand
Who and what she is
She is Poetry

      1. I read the sign, Walt,
that said I was a dill.
So I said no to Morpheus
        and told him where
        to shove his red pill.
        Only to leave the blue
        for there are times
        when a stiff drink
        just won’t do 🍷
