Life with chronic pain is agony
It does affect your sanity
When you realize it’s your reality
You start looking for a recipe
To help calm down your anxiety
You just want to live happily
As you write about your mortality
Staying sane through your poetry
Words start flowing naturally
Protecting you from insanity
To the best of your ability
You know that there’s no guarantee
But you must pursue this opportunity
To avoid any possible calamity
To the quality of your legacy
Life is just a formality
So your agony is just a fantasy

Persevere, rage
Against the agony of it
Ink it out of your system as best possible
Never doubt your ability to win the pain battle.
