Alive
I’m alive
And it’s a great feeling
Sure I have aches and pains
But I’m alive
I can function
My mind is sharp
I can still write my poetry & mow lawns
And I thank God I’m alive
I have the love of a beautiful woman
And my heart is filled with love
I can still walk and love on my dogs
I can help with laundry and dishes
Because I’m alive
I’m better off than many people|
And for that I am grateful
I have a lot of living left to do
Spending the rest of my life
Loving you
