I’m Alive – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

I love life
Every minute
Of being alive
Feeling the warmth
Of the sun
And the coldness
Of the wind
When it’s howling
Through the trees
Even feeling pain
Lets me know
That I’m alive
I can breathe
I can feel
I can taste
I can smell
I can see
I can hear
I’m alive
In the dark
I light a candle
And write
My poetry comes alive
And so do I
I’m alive
And feeling fine

  1. It IS good to be and feel alive! I like the bit about writing too. So often, I’ve felt like I’m even more alive because of being a writer. Because I can channel it into words, I experience things not just once but over and over again. And that’s a really good thing. 🙂
