The Sound Of Settling – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

When the end comes
He knows he will hear it
The sound of settling
Everything he’s done
All the good
All the bad
Will all be settled
The pure beauty of the sound
Will caress his mind
Bringing peace to his soul
As the sound carries away his pain
He somehow knew
It would be like this
And when the end comes
He will feel the calmness
He will embrace the peace
And he will be carried away
By the sound of settling

    1. I just read his post 😊 Thank you for sharing it! A couple weeks ago someone commented that I seemed to be obsessed with death. I just write about it as I get older, but there is no obsession. Now Sylvia Plath on the other hand was definitely obsessed with death. And I’m with you… No bubble.popping for several.more years! 😊
