In the quietness of a moonless night

There is a serenity that surrounds us

A peace of the soul and of the heart

The nearness of the stars

The gentle sounds of the night

Bring us close to ourselves

My wish is simple

May we all find our own peace

Our own serenity

And our own calmness

  2. I, too, often find peace and comfort in nature. It’s what I based my post “Soul Spring Magic” on. There’s little else as peaceful as just closing one’s eyes and letting nature — it’s sounds, it’s smells… it’s all-encompassing beauty — just wash over one’s soul. Thanks for a beautiful poem.
