My Prayers
I believe in the power of prayer
I pray frequently
I pray for my family
I pray for my friends
I pray for myself
for relief from my pain
for relief from my anxieties
but lately I pray more for our country
I worry about the direction
our country is heading
I ask God to provide wisdom
to our leaders and to all of us
I pray for a change in the course
our country is taking
Yes, I pray, more and more
I pray loud and often
that God will hear my prayers
and the prayers of others like me
I am scared Lord
Please hear my prayers
