The Poet’s Prayer

I pray that my words have meaning
that they are of help to the reader

that my mind always has ideas
and that my pen never runs out of ink

I ask the Lord Of Poetry
to guide my hand
and to help me make sure
my words have meaning

I pray that He watches over
my fellow Poets and helps them
continue to write
their beautiful poems
