Wondering Why

Wondering Why

Lately I’m wondering
what I did
to bring all this
down on me

am I too questioning
do I swear too much?
is it because
I don’t go to church?

Am I being punished?
If so, for what?
Tell me
and I’ll try and fix it

I was always told
that He was a loving Father
that He forgives us
for our sins

but here I am
suffering
hurting
wondering

why?
