When I Breathe

When I breathe I feel myself
falling more in love with you

As my heart beats I hope you know
it’s beating just for you

In an early winter snowfall
or a warming spring rain
my thoughts are always about you

when I hear our favorite songs
I smile and sing them just for you

the day I drove north and finally met you
you took my breath away

when it was time for me to leave
you returned it in a kiss

when I breathe
I love you even more
