Just An Old Poet And His Dog

Most of you know me

as The Tennessee Port

but I’m just an old poet

with my dogs

Bluebell is one of our nine

rescue dogs and always senses

when I need her close to me

our dogs give us unconditional

love and loyalty which is a large

part of my poetry, and I write about

love more and more lately

they are all my guardians and

companions when Susan is at work.

There is nothing special about me,

I’m just an old poet living life

with my wife, our dogs and our

horse Teaka and writing my poetry,

no matter how bad it may be

this is who I am and what I do
