Christmas Butterflies

I woke up with a chill
on this mid-December night
I realized that I was drifting along
on a Christmas season wind

I was surrounded by Christmas butterflies
and I could hear Christmas carols
I heard a heavenly voice say,

“You have been chosen as a Christmas Angel
to help spread Christmas cheer
throughout the land. You were chosen
because of your love of Christmas,
your kindness and compassion
and the pureness of your love.”

As it started to snow I smiled
at the beauty of the land below
all the houses and trees were decorated
and lit up.

I had never seen it snowing butterflies
before. It was beautiful and so magical.
I was proud and honored to have been
chosen for this magical task during this
season of celebration.

The Christmas butterflies are real.
All you have to do is believe.

    This is a lovely poem! I love butterflies too and will think of them snowing now. 🙂
