When You’re My Age

When You’re My Age

age has a way of letting you know
you’re not as young
as you used to be

you’re supposed to feel grown up
but I just feel old

life is full of questions
when I was your age
I thought I had all the answers
I have no answers now

at my age
I’m grown up
but it sure doesn’t feel that way

when I was your age
it didn’t seem to be this hard
you will learn when I mean
when you’re my age
