The Darkness Of Pain & The Light Of Relief ~ Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

We have all experienced it
The Darkness of Pain
Pain so intense
That all we can do
Is sit in the dark
Waiting for the pain
To slowly ebb
As the pain medication
Starts to work
The darkness slowly lessens
As the night becomes the morning
And with the change
From darkness to light
Comes the relief that

We have waited for

  1. This poem reminds me of a quote from Helen Keller “Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.” You have your writing and your blogging friends always with you in that darkness. (((HUGS)))
