Living In A Battery World ~ Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Here I am
Remote in hand
Whatever would I do
If my remote died
And I had no AA batteries
How would I change channels?
Search what’s on?
Change volume?
Turn TV on and off?
I’d have to research
Where those controls are on my TV
And then get up out of my recliner
To change anything!
Oh no, woe is me
The object of this poem you see
Is to make sure we always have
Plenty of AA batteries
And don’t forget the C batteries
The Ds, 9 Volts, AAAs watch batteries
And batteries for the cordless phone
Welcome to living in a Battery World
Doggone it, cold weather is coming
Better charge the car and truck batteries
