Poetic Dreams ~ A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

• I had a strange dream last night
  Different Poetic Forms had come to life
  I met Haiku Hannah, AKA 5-7-5
  Talked with Rhyming Rose
  while she painted her toes
  Limerick Larry, AKA Michael,
  was making us laugh
  Blackout Barney was marking out words
  in magazine articles
  Cinquain Cheri brought her 5 lines
  Prose Poetry Pamela was writing stories
  And the Shadorma Senorita had arrived from Spain
  Tanka Tillie pretended to write Haiku
  Sonnet Sally loved rhyme and meter
  Free Verse Francesca followed no rules
  As morning approached, I started to wake up
  and thought about all the different poetic forms
  I had met in my dream and said to myself

  “Francesca is definitely my style!”
