The Forgotten Words

A beautiful poem by Leigha Robbins.

Leigha Robbins

page after page
we read the words;
copious amounts of writing-
filled with caring
and lots of humor.
he would write each year
at vacation time
and put the words away.
we found them again
in a long forgotten drawer,
dusted them off
and reread the work
of the poet
that could have been.

Written for Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (FOWC) – copious
