A Little Bent Over ~ A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

I’m walking through the rest of my life
A little bent over, quite a sight to see
And even though I ain’t pain free
I’m alive and walking
And that’s good enough for me
Maybe someday I won’t be me
But I’ll cross that bridge
When it comes to me
I walk through the night
Just my music and me
That lonely train whistle calls to me
Telling me that the truth will set me free
But I ain’t waiting around to see
I’m living for today, not yesterday
I’m heading for tomorrow
So I’ll keep on walking
Just a little bent over
Quite a sight to see
