Traveling Through Time – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

As I age, time becomes more important
Time to do what I want to do
Time to look back on my life
Time to remember
In the time I have left
Memories help me travel back in time
Reliving special times
Happy times
Stressful times
In my travels through time
I relive trips with family
Visit to my Grandparent’s houses
Christmas trees and Easter eggs
Soda Pop and Tastee Freeze
Fishing trips and climbing trees
I recall loves I had
And loves I lost
Bands I played drums with
Songs I have sung
Animals I have loved
That are waiting for me
At the Rainbow Bridge
Friends and relatives that have passed
Knowing I will see them again
When my time has come
So many special memories
As I travel back in time
Reminding me to live for today
And make more memories

  1. I love closing my eyes and visiting the home I was raised in. I can walk all through the house and visit every room. Every time I visit it’s lunch time on a summer day. Never fails.

This one was special. Thank you, Walt.
