The Heat Of The Sun ~ A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Even though each day will end
And darkness will come
The heat of the sun keeps us warm
Through the long, lonely nights
The music of the day stays with us
As we move to the songs of the night
Holding us
Warming us
Reminding us
Of all that is good
All that we are
The heat of the sun
Warms the ink in our pens
And the blood in our veins
Words are our story
Our blood, sweat and tears
Words are our all
And we write
Warmed by the heat of the sun
