A Broken Mirror – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Her life is like a broken mirror
Filled with cracks and broken images
Distorted reflections of what her life is now
But still she goes on hoping beyond hope
She still has her dreams
Her memories remain
She knows the day will come
When her dreams will come true
The years have not been kind
But she still dreams, still hopes, still prays
Her love is strong and pure
It’s all she has left now
So she looks in her broken mirror
And smiles
As she waits for his return
