There is power in the music
Stronger than you and me
It lifts me up then drops me
In a fantasy land by the sea

It can be rock, jazz or country
It doesn’t matter at all
As long as it has a solid beat
I’ll listen to its call

Music to me is memories
Of dancing in the dark
Live concerts in the park
An escape from reality

It takes me on a journey
A never ending ride
It helps me through the pain
And lets me write again
