Meant To Be – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Everything in life is meant to be
Some will call it our destiny
Others will say it’s a fallacy
Just the dream of a wannabe
That wants to be a Pooh like Winnie
They may be obese and want to be skinny
Too many body parts that shake and shimmy
Likes to go dancing with a guy named Jimmy
Suddenly what’s meant to be
Becomes a dreadfully written eulogy
With flattering words of finality
It is what it is, so it was meant to be
And like death, it happens naturally
