In The Wind – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

I often think about it
The power of the wind
How it can change
From a gentle breeze
To damaging gusts
So many unanswered questions

Do they really call the wind Mariah?
Should we ride like the wind?
Who is the wind beneath our wings?
Where does the dust in the wind come from?
Why does the wind cry Mary?
Should we follow the wayward wind?
Or will we be gone with the wind?

My suggestion:
Cast your fate to the wind
Because we all know that
The answer my friend
Is blowing in the wind

      1. Walt, can I ask you why you used the na e Mary in the poem? I know that it CAN be another name for Mariah and that Mariah is said to be a He rew name. I knoe that you have been inspired to write this by the old song about the wind and The wind being called Mariah. But I wondered about the Mary bit. Please help lol
