Charging – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

I’m charging

Like a cell phone

A laptop

A tablet

Needing energy

Batteries depleted

Running on empty

Time

To fill the tank

Charging fuel cells

Charging

Getting stronger

Feeling the power

Flowing into me

Like ocean waves

Electrified

Rising

Switching on

100%

Nothing

Can

Stop

Me

Now!

  1. Walt, my cell phone
    got fried
    on a foreign current
    plugged into
    the wild side.
    Not so smart!
    So now
    I’ve got a new one ☝
    Works like a treat
    with a rapid recharge
    when I’m feelin’ beat.
    It can even out-tweet
    a presidential barrage
    (but I’m far too discrete).
