Thanksgiving, 2018 – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

As we celebrate Thanksgiving
I am grateful to be living
Waking up is a reminder
That I am still existing

I’m grateful for the poets
And the writers I’ve met here
For all my many followers
Who enjoy my poetry here

I’m just an elder poet
Who shares my words with you
I can’t describe the feelings
And the joy I get from you

So on this day of giving thanks
I give my thanks to you
May your lives be filled with blessings
Like those I’ve received from you

Happy Thanksgiving Blessings from myself,
my wife Susan, our horses Teaka and Flash
and our 10 rescue dogs, Meggie, Finnegan,
Holly, Jesse, Isabelle, Bella, Bluebell,
Mimi, Jenny and Jill.

    1. Thank you Leigha 😊 I was born and raised in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State, spent 6 years in New York City, USAF in San Antonio, TX , California and North Dakota. After being discharged, I went back to the Adirondacks for 15 years, then to FL for 15 years, and now in TN for 14 years so far. I did have a nice Thanksgiving. I hope you and your father did also. 😊💛
