Until the words run dry
And the sun and moon desert the sky
Until my blood no longer turns to ink
And my arthritic fingers cannot hold a pen
I will continue to write my poetry
Writing unburdens my heart
Cleanses my soul
Keeps me sane and relieves my pain
So until the end
I will write
