A Month Of July Prompts In One Day

Thanks once again to Michelle from Putting My Feet In The Dirt

The Adventures Of Walt Page, Private Detective

It was a typical hot and sultry day on Key West.
I own The Rights of Wrongs private detective agency, specializing
in making wrong problems become right. I was about to leave
for the day when a tall, sexy redhead walked through my door.
My name is Tuesday,” she said “and I need help.”
She had tears the size of a conch fritter running down her cheeks
and there was no way I would ever let anyone accuse me of
Turning back Tuesday. She said she was being harassed by a
group of Vigilant vigilantes claiming that they were plagued by
Spontaneous eruptions on their bodies after visiting her tanning
salon. These Unexpected revelations created skin rashes that
looked like the Plumes of a pigeon that had been Jiggled and
joggled.

Her story was Powerful and persnickety and we left my office
and walked along the Cobblestone passages that are unique to
old Key West. My mother had shown me pictures of my father
pushing me in my stroller along these passages In the summer
following my birth. As we walked I could tell that She was
magic. We crossed over to the beach and continued walking
along the Salty shorelines.

Enough is enough,” she sighed. “I feel like I’m Marching through
madness.” I thought to myself, “Chances are these could be the
Antics of an arsonist.” I quickly dismissed that thought as Flaky and
filling like Key Lime Pie. This case could be a Real humdinger. In my
business Time prospered and I couldn’t really afford any time spent
on Catawampus creatures.

I reminded myself that The answer is the question. So I explained to
her that I would not be able to help her. She became a Pouty
Penelope and sobbed as she walked away.

I spent the rest of the night at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and
when I finally left the sun was starting to come up. I walked back
to my office through Mangy mutts and milkmen. If I had taken
her case I probably would have been Lavishly loved, but in a
state of Perpetual Pandemonium. I had visions of her feeding me
Lemon tarts shaped like hearts, and I didn’t believe that she had
Abstemious intentions. I was used to being Routinely Ravished,
but She wore a red dress, and I knew that Death dangled from
red dresses.

Oh well, I know that there will be more Inky adventures ahead.
After all, this is Key West.

The moral of this story: Let your writing take
you to places that you normally don’t go.

      2. Very relaxing other than mowing, lol. Next door neighbors had a cookout yesterday and great fireworks last night. Poor Susan worked from 5 am to 6:30 pm, so she couldn’t be there 😢 hugs & live dear friend. ☺❤

      3. We did something similar yesterday, minus the cookout, but add a concert in there instead. 😉 Hugs to you too Walt. Hopefully you can see more fireworks on the 4th.
