Mother’s Day In Heaven

My Mom, Laura Lindsay Page, 1908-1996
Was a true Scottish lass with red hair
A preacher’s wife with love to share
This Mother’s Day poem is for her
And for all mothers, living or in heaven

The warmth of her red hair
The care in her smile
The encouragement to keep loving
The energy to keep giving

A Lily does not bloom without water
A faith does not grow without prayer
A seed does not sprout without soil

A mother’s love is like sunshine
To a child standing tall
The nourishment to blossom
and to grow every day.

Happy Mother’s Day Mom
Thank You for teaching me to love
And allowing me to grow
